Rene Marie Russo is an American actor, filmmaker, and former supermodel. The stunning beauty of Rene Marie is evident in her long-lasting career as an actor and actress. In the 1970s, she began her modeling career. She quickly established herself as one of the top figures in this industry. After completing her acting studies Russo started her career as a model in Los Angeles. Russo made her screen debut in ABCs drama show Sable in 1987, playing the character Eden Kendell. She portrayed Tom Berengers' love interest the following year with Major League, her debut movie. Her determination won the hearts of the critics, who initially were unsure about her skills as an actor. In Wolfgang Petersens Outbreak she was especially praised by critics due to how well she held up against Dustin Hoffman, Morgan Freeman and many others. According to her, she never had a passion for acting. She was in 2005 when she went for a hiatus that was self-imposed. Then she returned by playing a character in the movie about superheroes Thor. She also starred in her husbands Oscar Award-winning movie Nightcrawler. She then went on to play in light-hearted comedies such as The Intern and Just Getting Started.
Rose Namajunas is one of the most successful female athletes within the UFC. She began her professional career with amateur fights, in which she participated in various regional promotions. In the following years she enlisted with Invicta Fighting Championships before joining Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC). Since joining the UFC, she has been a household name thanks to her accomplishments both in and out of the Octagon. Namajunas' family is Lithuanian as was her birthplace on June 29th in 1992. Rose was a basketball player and kickboxing throughout her growing into a young woman. She made her debut in professional competition aged 18 for Invicta Fighting Championships in which she won two matches by submission. Dana White noticed this and on December 14, 2014, at age 22, she signed her for a fight as a strawweight with UFC. Rose has been through highs & lows during her career. She has always been a winner. In April 2015 Rose fought Carla Esparza for the inaugural Women s Strawweight Championship at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale in which she was victorious by technical knockout just 3 minutes in Round One - becoming not only champion but receiving the title of Fighter Of The Night along with creating history within MMA because this was the only the first time that woman was a champion with a major promoter worldwide . Namajunas continued to have many more victories, including two victories over Joanna Jedrzejczyk that earned her Best Performance of the Night award from UFC.
